What is a Promotional Code?

A promotional code is a unique string of characters provided by app stores like Google Play or Apple Store. It grants you access to exclusive features or benefits, such as one month of free access to Chinesimple HSK PRO. 

To make the most of your promotional code, keep in mind that these codes are valid for 28 days from the date they are issued. After this period, they will expire and can no longer be redeemed.

Before you start, ensure that you have an active internet connection. This will allow the code to be validated and applied seamlessly. Once you’re ready, follow the steps below to unlock Chinesimple HSK PRO on your device.

How to Redeem a Code on an Android Device

1. Download and Open the App: First, download the Chinesimple HSK app from Google Play if you haven’t already, and open it.
2. Navigate to the Side Menu: From the main menu, swipe from the left side of your screen to open the side menu. Tap on About us/Info.
3. Redeem Your Code: Tap the button labeled Redeem code at the bottom of the screen. Enter or paste your promotional code into the provided box and press Redeem code again.
4. Google Play Confirmation: A Google Play screen will appear. Tap the Redeem button to complete the process. The code will be linked to your Google Play account.
5. Enjoy Chinesimple PRO: Once redeemed, you’ll have access to Chinesimple HSK PRO features. If the Chinesimple app is not in PRO mode and the content and features are not fully unlocked, close and reopen the app.

How to Redeem a Code on an iOS Device

1. Open the App Store: On your iPhone or iPad, launch the App Store app.
2. Access Your Profile: Tap on your profile picture at the top right corner of the screen.
3. Redeem Your Code: Select Redeem Gift Card or Code. Tap on “Enter code manually” and paste your promotional code, then tap the Redeem button and follow the on-screen instructions.
4. Install the App: If you haven’t installed the Chinesimple HSK app yet, search for it in the App Store and install it.
5. Activate PRO Features: open the Chinesimple app, if it is not in PRO mode, go to the left side menu on the home screen (top-left button), and tap Restore purchase. The app will upgrade to the PRO version, and you’ll see all the content and features unclocked.
